Take Action

Are you a US citizen?

If so, please give your support to the Physician Payments Sunshine Act by signing the on-line petition. This bill would require all US drug and device makers to publicly report the gifts and payments they make to doctors. The petition will be presented to US lawmakers so please only add your name if you are a US citizen.

Not a US citizen?

Please write to the CEOs

CI is calling for all gifts to doctors to be banned and for the creation of a public register of all transactions between drug companies and doctors and medical institutions.

This will help people to know who is getting what from whom.

It will also discourage gifts and payments that companies and doctors can’t justify to the public.

Drug companies spend millions of dollars every year on marketing, much of it targeted at doctors.

When I visit a doctor I want to know that drug companies are not having an undue influence on the drugs that are prescribed.

Please help ensure people continue to have confidence in the medical advice they receive by:

  • Stopping the practice of giving gifts to doctors.
  • Providing information on your company’s relationships and funding for health professionals, pharmacists, students, journalists, research organisations and patient groups.

I look forward to your reply.
